Main Sequence topped off his amazing year in the United States with a decisive win in the Breeders Cup Turf this evening beating the well fancied European horses. Since coming to America he has won three straight Grade I races, but today was the pinnicle. Bred and owned by Flaxman Holdings we are so grateful that they sent Main Sequence to Herringswell Stables. He was a top horse in England a couple of years ago and the owner and trainer thought a change of scenery would do him good. Graham was asked a couple of weeks ago in an interview how many Breeders Cup winners he's had, he said three! Wishful thinking can work!!
It can't be forgotten that it is ten years since our dear Better Talk Now won his Breeders Cup Turf which at the time was the pinnicle of Graham's career. He changed the world for Herringswell and Graham so he needs extra hugs tomorrow!
To cap off the day Graham had a homebred run his first race today at Laurel and he won too! Congratulations to him and co-owners Bushwood Stables.
As a P.S. we also had second and third in the Maple Leaf Stakes (Grade III) at Woodbine with Lady Of Gold and Julie's Love. Julie's Love is part owned by Bobby Flay who must have missed her race as he was presenting a Breeders Cup trophy at the time!
